Oberlin College is pleased to provide students with this financial aid calculator as a guide in planning for college. The calculator will estimate financial aid awards based on prior year data. Estimates are based on award policies for the 2019-2020 academic year and are subject to change.

  • This calculator is designed to estimate eligibility for need-based and merit aid. All students admitted to Oberlin are considered for merit-based and talent-based scholarships that do not require a separate financial aid application.
  • This calculator is intended for full-time, first-time domestic, regular-decision freshmen who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents. It is not intended for use by graduate, transfer, readmitted, continuing, international or part-time students, who should instead contact the Financial Aid Office for more information.
  • The results provided here are only an estimate and do not guarantee the actual financial aid you will receive. The estimated award is subject to the accuracy of the information you provide, may change if financial or other family characteristics change, and does not incorporate any special circumstances, which are reviewed when you officially apply for admission and financial aid.
  • If the student's biological or adoptive parents are divorced, separated, or never married, the student must also file a Non-Custodial Parent Statement. The results from the Non-Custodial Parent Statement may significantly alter your need-based grant eligibility. Please note: this Net Price Calculator DOES NOT take into consideration your Non-Custodial Parent contribution.
  • This estimate shall not be binding on the Secretary of Education, Oberlin College & Conservatory, or the State of Ohio.
  • This calculator is not an official application for admission or financial aid. The student must apply for admission AND complete both the College Board's CSS PROFILE and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine eligibility for need-based institutional funding and federal student aid funds.
  • The Net Price Calculator cannot substitute for an actual review of your complete financial aid application. An estimate of aid or estimate of your net price from any college should not be the sole deciding factor in your college choice. We encourage you to apply for admission and financial aid to receive the most accurate picture of your actual award and cost of attendance for the 2020-21 academic year.
  • We are pleased to be able to offer funding to our students. For our full-time students enrolling for college for the first time in 2019, approximately 85% received some form of gift aid.
